This beautiful handcrafted Tibetan silver bangle features the six syllables mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum, written in Tibetan script.
The syllable OM consists of the sounds A, U and M, forming the sound OM. It symbolizes body, speech, and mind on our level with the aspiration for these to become the body, speech, and mind of the Buddha.
The word Mani means "jewel" or "bead", symbolizes the factors of method: the altruistic intention to become enlightened, compassion, and love. Padme is the "lotus flower" (the Buddhist sacred flower), symbolizes wisdom and Hum represents the spirit of enlightenment.
The six syllables, om mani padme hum, mean that in dependence on the practice of a path which is an indivisible union of method and wisdom, you can transform your impure body, speech, and mind into the pure exalted body, speech, and mind of a Buddha.
